KOGA Board Class of 2018 Announced

KOGA continues to benefit from the strategic planning effort the Board embarked upon four years ago. One of the key objectives was to open up the process of selecting Board members to govern the Association. In March of each year we solicit nominees for members for the Board. Those names are then considered by the Nominating Committee and a Board nominee slate is put forward for a vote by the general membership. This year we had a number of current Board members renominated and two new members appointed by Rudy Vogt, the KOGA Board President. 

The current class and - more broadly, the KOGA Board - is a strong cross section of both large and small operators, reflects the regional distribution of Kentucky’s oil and gas industry and includes representatives from the range of industry sectors that comprise the general membership. Read More...


9B Nonfederal Oil and Gas Regulation Revision DEIS

The National Park Service (NPS) has prepared a Revision of 9B Regulations Governing Nonfederal Oil and Gas Activities and Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS).

The Proposed Rule and DEIS will be released separately for a 60-day public comment period anticipated to begin on October 23, 2015 and anticipated to end on December 28, 2015. For more information click on the links below:

2016 KOGA Membership

2016 is quickly approaching and so is KOGA's Annual Membership renewals.  Our member's support is vital to ensure we have the necessary resources to execute KOGA's mission on behalf of Kentucky's oil and gas industry.  2016 Membership Renewals will go out in mid- December so be on the lookout!

In addition to your 2016 KOGA Membership renewal companies can sign up for a Annual Sponsorship Package.  Sponsorship of KOGA's meetings are vital to help offset the cost of the meeting as well as helping to fund other important projects for members.

This will be the first time the Christmas Party will be held in Louisville.  We have a great location for the party and hope you can make it!

Kentucky UIC Primacy


The U.S. EPA has opened up for public comment Kentucky's request for primacy on Underground Injection Control (UIC) Program for Class II injection wells.

Comments will need to be submitted by December 23, 2015, if requests are received for a public meeting the public meeting will be held on December 16.
